For more than 100 years, we have delivered safe, clean, and reliable power and water to the Eugene-Springfield area. EWEB’s service area covers 236 square miles with a population of more than 200,000 people, including major institutions such as the University of Oregon. We are a community-owned, not for profit utility. Employing approximately 500 people, EWEB serves the people of Eugene by embodying core values of safety, reliability, responsibility and community.

Keeping the lights on and the water flowing is takes people doing many different jobs: skilled trade workers, information technology specialists, engineers, customer service representatives, administrative support, mechanics, energy specialists and many other professions.

Protect public health

Clean water is vital to public health, safety and the economy. We are hard at work making sure safe, reliable water continues to flow even as critical infrastructure ages and new challenges arise. In addition to programs aimed at protecting water at the source, we are renovating our filtration plant, replacing water mains, rebuilding water storage facilities, improving water pump stations, developing neighborhood emergency water stations and planning for alternative water sources.
